Simplified Web Integration

An intuitive, easy-to-use Navionics web API provides the toolset for embedding selected cartography and features within websites. To use our web API, you need a developer key. This is a short alphanumeric code that allows your application to be authorized to use Navionics cartography and API features.

Garmin makes it easy to select the Navionics data package and pricing structure that works best for your application. Two business models are offered, with different levels of integration:

• Standard

  This is a free chart viewer that enables third-party developers to integrate the display of Navionics charts within a window on their website, centered in a desired geographic location. Display of additional features on top of charts is not allowed. The service must be free to end users.

• Enhanced

  This is a paid chart viewer, with an annual fee based on regional or global content. It enables third-party developers to integrate full-page display of Navionics charts—enriched with their own content such as overlays, points of interest, vessel tracking and other features—for their own commercial purposes.

• Daily updates

  Navionics charts are constantly being enhanced with new and amended content from official hydrographic sources, public and private surveys and millions of contributions from boaters. Thousands of updates are made to chart layers every day.

• Overlay your own data

  With the enhanced option, you can overlay your content such as points of interest, business locations, vessel tracking and more.
