The Activity Player visualizes an activity that someone has already performed or created. It presents the activity on a map, with a line representing the path. With this comes a chart – showing 2 different measurement types. These can be anything from heart rate or cadence to elevation gained/lost.In the case that your positional data doesn’t exist, we remove the map and present you with a much larger chart, but you still have the ability to pick measurement types as you wish.
This is the 3rd iteration of our Player. The first version came out as an SVG animation that would only work in Internet Explorer using the Adobe SVG plugin. To support Firefox and other browsers, we released a Flash 8 based version of the Player during the summer of 2006. This was cross-browser compatible and brought activity playback to the masses.
But in the goal to constantly improve – we’ve migrated to the Flex 2 framework to release the newest version of our Activity Player. You can now relive your activities in fullscreen glory with transparent windows. And if that wasn’t enough – you can even hear a click when you click on things. Wow.
