What Garmin features are addressed in the SDK?
The SDK provides information regarding GPS information, map interaction, routing, input area, and thumb wheel functionality.
What GPS information is addressed?
Developers can access GPS status, position, velocity, and time.
What Garmin map data can be accessed?
Developers can create points at a specified latitude and longitude, at the location of an address, at the location the user selects from a map, and at the location of an item the user selects through the find menu. Developers can also get information about a point, display a form showing the details of a point including its location on a map, display the map application centered on a point, and create a route from the current location to a point.
What capabilities are addressed regarding the Input Area?
The input area of the iQue 3600 has the capability to be hidden or displayed. Within the SDK, developers can find information regarding the input area, such as notification/awareness of full screen, open/close input area, and enable/disable user trigger for hiding or displaying the input area.
How does the thumb wheel function, and what information is available concerning its capabilities?
Garmin has included a thumb wheel on the side of the iQue 3600. The wheel functions in an “up, down, and in” manner. Information regarding the functionality of the thumb wheel is also included in the SDK.
