We’ve been working hard on our new web application, Garmin Connect. The 0.5 release of the site is geared for the new Forerunner 50, sporting ANT technology to wirelessly transfer and upload activities from the device to the computer to the web. Other fitness devices containing tracks and routes will be supported in our 1.0 launch.
In regards to the Communicator Plugin, we’ve been working on full Mac support. In other words, Leopard. We’ve also been working on support for our new devices, like the Edge 705, which features turn-by-turn directions, color display, and power data (from ANT + Sport™-enabled third-party power meters). We’re shooting for that release in mid-November. We’ve also made Communicator Plugin API improvements that will be included in the next release.
More info to come…
Until then, Happy Halloween! (Tracking trick-or-treat routes might be interesting…)

Can’t wait for 201 support! I hope you’re also going to be fleshing out the Web Services (more like REST and RSS for me) docs soon so that we web developers can tap into the fun.

Desperately searching for news on when my Forerunner 50 will work with my Mac brought me here. Needless to say, I would REALLY like to use my Forerunner 50 with my Mac.

I’d really like to see the Forerunner 50 working on the Mac too. What are the holdups? Need some volunteer software engineers? Let us know what you need and I’m sure there are enough of us to get it going!

For the love of God! Please get this working. What? Mac users dont run? Thanks Garmin for half-assing your product development and going straight for PC’s and not Macs. Cheers.

I’m just getting started using Garmin Connect. It’s a great concept, but it’s really buggy. I’m getting tons of nullPointerExceptions, and had a nice look at your stack trace when the app blew up during the registration process. I hope there are some better QA’d releases coming out soon.
